EZTrader in Sponsorship Deal with Bayer Leverkusen & Feyenoord
3rd of September 2014
Renowned European regulated binary options broker EZTrader revealed that it has closed two sponsorship partnership agreements with European football clubs Bayer Leverkusen and Feyenoord Rotterdam.
In what is perhaps the largest sponsorship agreement deal in the binary options business, European binary broker EZTrader closed two massive deals with the football clubs Bayer Leverkusen and Feyenoord Rotterdam.
Both Beyer Leverkusen and Feyenoord Rotterdam confirmed that EZTrader will becomea premium sponsor of the two teams. In exchange for a sponsorship fee, the two famous European football teams will advertise the services offered by EZTrader through banners and player T-shirt designs.
The two new deals are so far the largest binary options sponsorship deals in the business. One of the first deals of this kind was closed last month ago when rivaling broker 24Option closed a significant sponsorship deal with Juventus FC.
At that time we commented that the deal represents the fact that the binary options business has matured during the past few years. What started out as an experiment and side-gig offered by some forex brokers in 2008 turned out to become a major business in itself.
Binary options are also regulated these days in multiple European countries. Brokers such as 24Option and EZTrader are at this moment licensed and regulated in multiple European countries much like large and established forex brokers.
These brokers have also decided in the past to leave the US binary options market due to US regulators’ reluctance to license non-American binary options companies. As such, these brokers instead decided to focus on the regulated European binary options business.
Some binary options and online trading analysts commented that the next step in the business would be for many brokers to go public during the next few years. In order to be able to achieve this, most brokers would still have to grow considerably and would have to become licensed in all countries they operate in.
Creating key partnership deals with mainstream sports clubs is definitely the way to go for any broker in becoming public. Such a move will massively increase investor trust and brand value, resulting in the companies being awarded substantial venture capital funding during an IPO.
